How to Choose Your Filtration Pump ?

The pump draws in the water through the skimmer and the bottom drain, directs it to the filter where it is purified of impurities, and then reintroduces it into the pool via the outlets. When choosing your filtration pump, there are several criteria to consider:

  • Flow rate: This should correspond to the volume of water in your pool. A general rule is that the pump should be capable of filtering the entire volume of water in around 4 to 6 hours.
  • Intensity: This indicates the pump’s power consumption, an important criterion for controlling your energy consumption.
  • Acoustic power: For your comfort and that of those around you, opt for a pump that operates silently.
  • Power: This must be sufficient to allow the water to circulate through the filtration system without overloading the pump.
